Sex Discrimination

"It gave students and families a way to end discrimination by using Title IX, whether just by pointing out that something violated Tittle IX or filing charges with the government or filing a lawsuit."
- Bernice Sandler, "Legacy of Title IX", April 8, 2012
Sex discrimination prohibited by Title IX has grown to include sexual harassment, bullying of a sexual nature, sexual orientation, and sexual assault. This has provided a powerful tool to protect against discrimination in any area that affects education.
