Revolution

"Title IX is more than just an educational law.
It is part of a social revolution to help men and women
have more equal relationships."
- Bernice Sandler, "Godmother of Title IX", April 8, 2012
Title IX addressed the issue of gender discrimination in education and was the catalyst that led to a social revolution. Education is the passport for opportunity in life, so by mandating equal educational opportunities, Title IX ensured a brighter future for more Americans.

"It's just 37 words, 37 plain and grammatically clunky words hiding inside a large education bill, 37 words that didn't seem to be a big deal at the time, 37 words that would change everything" (ESPN. Mar 26th, 2012)

"When Title IX was passed, I think even, very early on the women realized what a significant piece of legislation this was ... we were involved in a revolution from the word go, and we knew it..."

"Give women equal rights and entire nations are more stable and secure. Deny women equal rights and the instability of nations is almost certain."
(Hillary Clinton, 2010)
