Breadth of Title IX

"... you just couldn't discriminate in our educational system"
- Senator Birch Bayh, Father of Title IX, 2007
Title IX's broad language impacts many areas such as athletics, sexual harassment and bullying. Such discrimination affects one's ability to learn and is prohibited by Title IX.

"Title IX, was a broad language, covering everything and not touching anything specifically... it didn't mention sports...social studies, home economics or anything else."
